Now-a-days there is a buzz of Kavi Sammelan in the villages too. Everything in the world has reached the village through social media. Today there is hardly anything about which the people of the village do not know.
मनजीत सिंह ( संक्षिप्त परिचय )
एक समय कवि सम्मेलन भारत के बड़े शहरों में बड़े संस्थागत और राजनीतिक मंचों तक ही सीमित था। इसके बाद यह देश के छोटे शहरों और कस्बों तक पहुंचा। आजकल गाँवों में भी कवि सम्मेलनों की धूम है। सोशल मीडिया के जरिए दुनिया की हर चीज गाँव तक पहुँच चुकी है। आज शायद ही कोई ऐसी चीज हो जिसके बारे में गाँव के लोग नहीं जानते हों।ऐसा नहीं है कि गाँव में सिर्फ शहर की चीजें ही पहुँची हैं। इसके विपरीत भारत की कला संस्कृति विश्व के कोने-कोने में पहुँच चुकी है। कविता उसी कला संस्कृति का अंग है।
आज पूरी दुनिया में कवि सम्मेलन हो रहे हैं , जहाँ जहाँ भी भारतीय रहते हैं, जहाँ अभी तक कवि सम्मेलन नहीं पहुँचा हैं, वहाँ बहुत जल्द पहुँचने की संभावना है। सरदार मनजीत सिंह उन लोगों में से एक हैं जिन्होंने कवि सम्मेलन को इस भारत भूमि से विदेशों तक की यात्रा को सुगम बनाया।
कवि सम्मेलन मंच पर विगत 35 वर्षों से सक्रिय मनजीत जी ने कवि सम्मेलन को विश्व के अनेक देशों तक पहुँचाने में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दिया है। मनजीत सिंह, जो हरियाणा के शिक्षा विभाग में एक अधिकारी के रूप में कार्यरत थे, साथ ही मंजीत जी ने हास्य कवि के रूप में अपनी पहचान बनाई। आज न केवल भारत में बल्कि भारत के बाहर भी उनकी मांग है। उन्हें एक सफल संचालक के रूप में भी जाना जाता है। मंजीत जी ने अमेरिका सहित मध्य ऐसिया कई देशों जैसे Qatar, UAE, Bahrein, की कई काव्य यात्राएँ की हैं अनेकों पुरस्कार और सम्मान से सम्मानित मंजीत सिंह सेवा निवृति के पश्चात् फरीदाबाद में रहकर साहित्य सेवा में व्यस्त हैं |
It is not that only the things of the city have reached the villages. On the contrary, the art culture of India has reached every corner of the world. Poetry is a part of the same art culture. Today, Kavi Sammelan is being held all over the world, wherever Indians live, where it has not reached, there is a possibility of reaching there soon. Sardar Manjit Singh is one of the people who facilitated this journey of Kavi Sammelan from the land of India to foreign countries.
