In the journey of more than a hundred years of the Kavi Sammelan, there have been major changes with time. Kavi Sammelan was seen in its traditional form till forty years ago. Watching the video of that time shows that there was no significant change in the Kavi Sammelan for about 70-80 years. But in the 90s, glamor entered the Kavi Sammelan. कवि सम्मलेन की लगभग सौ वर्षों से अधिक की यात्रा में समय के साथ बड़े बदलाब हुए हैं | चालीस साल पहले तक कवि सम्मेलन अपने परम्परागत स्वरुप में दिखाई देता है | उस वक़्त की वीडियो देखने से पता चलता है कि कवि सम्मेलन में लगभग ७० ८० वर्षों तक कोई खास बदलाब नहीं हुआ | लेकिन ९० के दशक में कवि सम्मेलन में ग्लैमर का प्रवेश हुआ | बड़ा मंच, बड़ा माइक, बड़े कवि, बड़ा पांडाल, बड़े बैनर, सब कुछ बड़ा बड़ा | मंच पर सब कुछ बड़ा हुआ लेकिन कवितायेँ छोटी होती चली गई | आज हिंदी कवि सम्मेलन के मंच पर कविता के साथ और बहुत कुछ शामिल हो गया है | जिसमें चुटकुला, टिप्पड़ी, व्यंग, छोटी कहानी, आपसी संवाद, संगीत, आदि अन्य विधाएँ भी कविता के साथ घुल-मिल गई हैं |
कवि सम्मेलन की यात्रा
कवि सम्मेलन का उद्गम स्थल अगर कोई है तो वह विद्यालय है | जहाँ बच्चा बचपन से कविता पढ़ना सीखता है | कविता की लय और ताल यहीं से उसके मन में धीरे-धीरे जगह बनाती है | उन्हीं छोटे-छोटे बच्चों में से कोई बड़ा होकर तुकबंदी करने लगता है | और कवि बन जाता है | विद्यालय ही वह जगह है जहाँ बच्चा कविता के वास्तविक भाव को समझते हुए कविता पढ़ना सीखता है | और यहीं से उसके मन में कविता के प्रति लगाव पैदा होता है | कविता के प्रति समर्पित इन्हीं बच्चों में से कुछ विश्वविद्यालय स्तर पर भी अपने इस जूनून को जारी रखते हैं और हिंदी मंच के प्रतिष्ठित कवियों की सूचि में खड़े हो जाते हैं |
कंटेंट में बदलाव्
पिछले चालीस वर्षों में कवि सम्मेलन के कंटेंट में विशेष रूप से बदलाव महसूस किया गया है | अब सिर्फ कविता नहीं सुनाई जाती बल्कि छोटी-छोटी टिप्पणियाँ, चुटकुले, वन लाइनर के साथ और बहुत कुछ हिंदी मंच के कंटेंट में शामिल हो गया है | कवि सम्मेलन एक ऐसे रूप में परिवर्तित हो चूका है जहाँ कविता सिर्फ किसी अच्छे सन्देश के लिए नहीं सुनाई जाती बल्कि उसमें मनोरंजन की मात्रा अधिक होनी चाहिए |
श्रोताओं की रूचि
कवि सम्मेलन में होने वाले इन परिवर्तनों के साथ और बहुत कुछ बदल रहा है | उसमें सबसे महत्वपूर्ण है श्रोताओं की रूचि | श्रोता अब सिर्फ कविता सुनकर अपने घर नहीं जाना चाहता बल्कि वह ऐसा साफ़ सुथरा मनोरंजन चाहता है जो कई दिनों तक उसे महसूस होता रहे | श्रोताओं के इसी बदलते अनुभव को ध्यान में रखते हुए कवियों ने भी निरंतर बदलाव की प्रक्रिया को अपनाया है | यही एक महत्वपूर्ण कारण है की कवि सम्मेलन निरंतर लोकप्रिय हो रहा है |
Kavi Sammelan Yatra
If there is any place of origin of Kavi Sammelan, it is school. Where the child learns to read poetry since childhood. It is from here that the rhythm and rhythm of the poem gradually makes its place in his mind. One of those small children grows up and starts rhyming. And becomes a poet. School is the place where the child learns to read poetry while understanding the real meaning of poetry. And it is from here that his love for poetry arises in his mind. Some of these children dedicated to poetry continue their passion even at the university level and stand in the list of eminent poets of the Hindi stage.

A significant change has been felt in the content of Kavi Sammelan in the last forty years. Now not only poetry is recited but also small comments, jokes, one liners and much more have been included in the content of Hindi platforms. Kavi Sammelan has transformed into a form where poetry is not recited just for a good message but there should be more entertainment in it.
